Prof. Dr. Luisa Santos
Luísa Santos is a Gulbenkian Professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences of Universidade Católica, in Lisbon, since 2016. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies, Viadrina School of Governance (2015), with a scholarship from FCT, an MA in Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art (2008), with a Gulbenkian Scholarship, and a Degree in Communication Design, Faculty of Fine Arts-University of Lisbon (2003).
Combining research with curatorial practice, her most recent activities include “There’s no knife without roses”, Tensta Konsthall, Stockholm (2012); “Daqui parece uma montanha” , Modern Art Centre, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Lisbon (2014); and “Tension and Conflict” at MAAT, Lisbon (2017).
In 2017, Luísa initiated 4Cs: from Conflict to Conviviality through Creativity and Culture, a cooperation project co-funded by Creative Europe, lead by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
She is a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Congress CSO, the Peer Reviewed Academic Publications Estúdio, Gama, Croma, and the Yearbook of Moving Image Studies published by Büchner-Verlag
